I’ve always been fascinated by how science can improve everyday life. My
journey began with a love for chemistry, which took me from studying Chemical
Engineering in my hometown, Reykjavík, Iceland, to earning a Master’s of
Engineering in Applied Chemistry in Copenhagen, Denmark. Along the way, I found
myself drawn to skincare—not just as a consumer, but as someone who wanted to
solve real problems.

The idea for Dottir Skin came from a simple frustration: finding a sunscreen
that works for an active lifestyle, doesn’t irritate sensitive skin, and fits
seamlessly into people’s everyday lives. Mineral sunscreens are amazing, but I
knew they could be better—more transparent, more comfortable, and just as
reliable.

After years of work, product development, and some trial and error, I’m so
proud to share what I’ve created. Our sunscreen is designed with care, not just
to protect your skin but to make you feel confident under the sun—whether
you’re training, adventuring, or just living your everyday life.

For me, Dottir Skin is more than a brand. It’s a mission to combine science,
sustainability, and everyday practicality. I hope you’ll love it as much as I
